    Answer: These needles work well with micro fibers, polyester, silk, foils, artificial leather, and coated materials.

    Answer: Yes, their very thin acute points create beautiful topstitching and perfectly straight stitches for quilt piecing.
  • Question: How many needles are included in the package?

    Answer: The package contains five 130/705 H-M 90/14 needles.
  • Question: Does anybody know if this is the size I would need for machine applique?

    Answer: Use the size appropriate for fabric used. An 80/12 is standard for cotton and basic light to medium weight fabric. For heavier fabric such as denim, or for sewing multiple layers use 90/14. If you are appliqueing just two layers of quilting cotton, or the applique to a backing piece, the 80/12 would be more appropriate but a 90/14 wouldn't be too bad.This needle is super sharp, so a microtex 90/14 would not make as big of holes as a standard 90/12. I never even use standard needles any longer.
  • Question: What type of material are these for? I am trying to figure out what needle I need for chiffon woven?

    Answer: These needles are especially for batik fabrics. Check at a fabric shop and see what they reco.
