Can any one please explain which pads are for cutting and which are for Polish. So confused. thanks in advance?
Answer: Wayne - I'm a newby at using this Polisher, it only arrived a week ago. I'm not using it for polishing or buffing paintwork on a car but polishing sheets of toughened glass! I've used the wave plates for buffing and the flat disc for polishing. Haven't used the wool polishing pad and probably for my purposes it's not necessary. I went into YouTube and watched a few videos on the subject of buffing and polishing using a Dual-Action Rotary polisher on car paintwork and window screens and applied the same principles. Just try each type (wave plate and flat disc) and it becomes more obvious which to use. At the end of the day, you just buff first to get out the fine scratches and then polish after. I have used Cerium Oxide rare-earth compound to do the buffing and getting the fine very scratches out. Sorry, can't be more help as I'm on the learning curve myself!
