    Answer: It is suggested to start on the lowest setting and increase the temperature until desired result is achieved. There are 12 heat settings available to suit all hair types.
  • Question: Are these suppose to make a buzzing sound? :/

    Answer: They make a quiet buzzing/ticking sound. I’m pretty sure it says it’s ok in the instructions, something to do with the ions.
  • Question: Is the temperature displayed anywhere?

    Answer: Yes, digital display.
  • Question: These came in a different packaging than advertised. Are they real?

    Answer: They came in a package exactly as seen in the picture.
  • Question: Do they have floating plates?

    Answer: I don't know, they were a gift.
  • Question: Does it have dual voltage?

    Answer: It's set to UK voltage.
  • Question: How do you release the lock mechanism to open the plates?

    Answer: It’s just at the bottom of the upper plate and may be difficult to pull down, but pull down hard towards the wire (best done when still cold).
  • Question: Can you control the temperature yourself or is it actually automatic?

    Answer: You control the temperature yourself. When you plug it in, it automatically starts at 200 degrees C, and then you can adjust the temperature either higher or lower. It has 12 heat settings, 175DC - 235DC so you can have it as hot as you need it to be. It also has a protect button for extra heat protection.
