About This Item
Introducing the Thule Stir Alpine 40L Hiking Backpack – your ultimate companion for epic backcountry adventures. This meticulously designed backpack is packed with features to keep your gear organized, accessible, and protected. Crafted from a coated 70D nylon fabric, the Stir Alpine is built to withstand harsh weather conditions and abrasions, ensuring durability for years to come. Despite its rugged construction, this backpack weighs just 2.8 lbs, so you can confidently carry it without feeling weighed down.
And when you're aiming for a lighter load, simply remove the lid, frame sheet, hip belt padding, and sternum strap to shed an additional 1.1 lbs, bringing the total pack weight to just 1.7 lbs. When it comes to gear storage, the Stir Alpine has you covered. The backpack features externally placed fixed loops and adjustable straps, allowing you to easily carry skis, ice axes, trad and sport climbing gear, and more. This makes it a versatile companion for year-round adventures. The wide opening of the backpack enables easy loading and maximizes the available space inside.
Plus, the side zipper provides convenient access to the middle and bottom of the pack, so you can always grab what you need without hassle. An added compression strap under the lid keeps items like a coiled climbing rope, jacket, or other soft gear secure. Even when you remove the lid, your backpack contents remain protected by a storm flap. We understand that staying hydrated and fueled is crucial during your outdoor pursuits.
That's why the Thule Stir Alpine is hydration reservoir compatible and features a convenient shoulder strap snack pocket. With these thoughtful additions, you can venture further and stay out longer, knowing you have everything you need close at hand. Whether you're hiking, camping, trekking, or mountaineering, the Thule Stir Alpine Backpack is designed to meet the demands of outdoor enthusiasts like you. It is the perfect blend of ruggedness, functionality, and comfort, ensuring that you have the best possible experience on your adventures.
