The RADTriage FIT is a one-time use cumulative sensor designed for hospital staff, nuclear facilities, first-responders, the military, and anyone else who needs an inexpensive way to alert one to radiation. The sensor detects radiation exposure and will continue to darken if it later detects higher levels of radiation. The detector is not reusable in the sense that it does not reset back to zero. The product is designed to record exposure to radiation and not x-rays, so it will not be affected by the airport x-ray screener. The product may detect certain radiation types such as x-rays, alpha and beta particles, but not fast or slow neutrons. It may not detect gamma rays. The product comes with a manual and does not emit radiation.
