The GE CYNC Ceiling Fan Smart Switch is a cost-effective solution for smart control of your ceiling fan that is Wi-Fi enabled and Alexa/Google Assistant compatible. This switch doesn't require a hub for functioning, but it needs a neutral wire connection. Also, it replaces an existing fan switch, not a fan/light combo. The switch has a built-in LED ring light that can be adjusted or turned off entirely. The device also has an app in which an account and location are compulsory for operating it. The app can be used to set up scenes to schedule the fan's different speeds or to control it manually. The switch has mixed feedback from Consumers. While most users praise the switch's ease of installation, setup, and compatibility with virtual assistants, some have reported problems in the device's functionality—for instance, sudden stoppages and the need for resetting or reconnecting the switch.
