MTD Genuine Parts Deck Parts 918-04516A Editorial Review
The MTD Replacement Part Driven Spindle Assembly has garnered a mixed reception from customers, particularly those who are using it to replace worn or broken components on their lawn mowers. Many users have noted that the spindle fits well with their Cub Cadet models, providing a seamless installation experience. Its affordability is a significant highlight; users have appreciated that it comes at less than half the price of similar products while still delivering satisfactory performance. However, some users have expressed concerns regarding durability. The bearings, while functional, have shown signs of wear quicker than expected, with one user noting that they became noisy after just one mowing season. This seems to be a Consensus among buyers, where the longevity of the bearings doesn't match that of higher-priced alternatives. Installations have not been without hurdles. A few users reported issues with the design, mentioning that the spindle arrived with unthreaded holes, necessitating additional work to make it usable. This has disappointed some customers who anticipated a straightforward replacement process. Overall, while the spindle assembly satisfies those looking for a budget-friendly option, be prepared for potential durability issues and the possibility of needing extra installation work. **
