The MAG-MATE PNL0800 Powerlift Magnet is a strong magnet with an 800 lbs lift capacity. Each magnet comes with a test certificate indicating its pull-off strength. However, it is not recommended for scrap applications. The magnet is made in the USA. It works well to hold and separate large steel plates, but it may not work on manhole covers, which are not flat. One customer experienced difficulty with operating the handle, which has a strong kickback when moved from the ON position. Another customer received only one of the two magnets ordered and no operating instructions were included. However, another customer found that the magnet worked well and made lifting steel easy.
