- Omer Salem is a Senior Fellow of theFoundation of Religious Diplomacy, New YorkCity, and is the founder of the Ibn Rushd Institutefor Peace based in Egypt and the USA, a religionand culture research association. Salem promotesand encourages the use of Islamic and Christianmoral values as the basis for prosperous societies. Salem has beeninvited to various places of learnings and international conferences, where he has spoken before audiences that included members of theU.S. Senate in Washington, D.C.He holds a Ph.D. from the Religious Studies Department at GTF, amaster's degree from the Yale University Divinity School and Bachelorof Science Degree in Engineering from the University of California atBerkeley. Salem is the author of three books. (1) Missing Peace (2) TheHoly Land. (3) The Peace of Jerusalem, published by Westbow Press.Other backgrounds: Salem, an Egyptian American Engineer and researcher, spenta career in engineering, and real estate development in California'sSilicon Valley. In California, he assembled a group of representatives ofvarious faith communities to promote trust-building and joint ventures.The group produced a related white paper that has gained support fromvarious social and civil society organizations and Stanford University.Salem currently lives with his wife and five children in Windsor, CT, USA.
