LAUNCH YZB05 Editorial Review
The LAUNCH X431 Creader Elite OBDII Scanner is a powerful diagnostic tool that offers a wide range of features and functions. It is designed to provide full system diagnostics, with over 30 reset functions and bi-directional control. The device is capable of reading transmission temperature for oil change level, as confirmed by a user who used it on a Mercedes SLC with a 9G transmission. However, there have been some concerns raised by users regarding the device's ability to perform certain functions. One user mentioned that they couldn't find any options to code a new key, despite claims that the scanner could do so. Another user pointed out that while the device can do a fair amount of things, key coding is not one of them. On the positive side, the scanner is able to switch off engine management lights and is compatible with a variety of car brands, including B.M.W., VW, Skoda, Audi, and Mercedes. Users have also mentioned that it is possible to download additional packs to make the device work on different car models. However, it is important to note that there are limitations to what the scanner can do. It cannot reprogram the footwell module (frm) and cannot perform ECU coding to install a new instrument cluster or adjust mileage on an Audi A3 8P. Overall, the LAUNCH X431 Creader Elite OBDII Scanner is well-received for its diagnostic capabilities and compatibility with various car brands. However, its limitations in certain functions should be Considered before purchasing.
